{Soft in Unexpected Places…}

With how busy life has been of late, I usually do not give myself a minutes thought but today, as I was running through the Charlotte, NC airport, to catch my next flight, I thought back to earlier this morning and the emotions I was feeling.  I felt completely unsettled.

 In the midst of my morning beauty routine, I stopped and stared at myself in the mirror in a way that I have not done in ages.  As ridiculous as this may sound, it shocked me at how much my body has changed. Not necessarily in a bad way but in a way that tells me that I am getting older. Why didn’t I take notice of this before?  Now mind you, I’m nowhere near the age where I need to start worrying about my own mortality but lately I can’t seem to reconcile the age that I feel I am emotionally with the  age that I know I am biologically.

As I continued to stare at my reflection, I couldn’t deny that I am softer, yes, and a bit more fragile than I remember.  My skin seems more translucent, less forgiving.  Although I believe I take good care of this temple I call my body, I must say it wouldn’t hurt to treat it with more care.  Pamper it a bit more.  Mistreat it a lot less.  This body is my home and if I plan to live in it for a long while, it’s best that I start thinking of putting this body on a serious maintenance plan.

Be well my darlings!

xoxo

Happy Monday My Beloved!

As I commence another week, I must remind myself to stay on course, stay focused and be true to those things that I love and find unique.  Creativity can be fueled  from all that surrounds us.  Now all I have to do is pay attention and stay awake.  Which reminds me…where is that espresso I ordered. 😉

Have an amazing week my angels!

xoxo

{My Holiday weekend in food…}

Al fresco dining…nothing puts me in a better mood than great friends, good food, and people watching.

Baked Brie cheese and fig sauce…yummilicious!!!

Nothing says “I love you” like a friend baking you a deep dish cookie … LOVE YOU IRMA!!!

Wordless Wednesday…{a quick snapshot of my weekend}

What better way to take in the park…

My iPad, a bit of ‘Vino’ and people watching…what fun.

Life in action…

My day isn’t complete until I’ve had a Pretzel with mustard. Yum…

Look closely and you will see a guy jogging in his SUIT, with a beverage in hand.  God, there is nothing like my beloved NYC!! LOL

Whew! All that people watching created a bit of a thirst.  Starbucks anyone? 🙂

Gourmet chocolates…Dee-lish!!!!

Did I mention that I’m a bit of a foodie…

Ended my day with a glass of chilled vino and my ‘Pad…

{Magnificent Monday…}

Happy Monday sweet peas!  Hope your day is going deliciously well.  I, for one, am having an unbelievable day for a Monday. Who would have thought that this day would come baring gifts and goodies? Definitely not I darling.  I’m rarely surprised but when one of my besties sent me a few presents to the office today, just because, well…let’s just say I’m out of Kleenex tissues. What a blessing!

But as if that weren’t amazing enough, the pièce de résistance, my iPad FINALLY arrived today (after waiting a month and change for it). Yaaay! Let the iPad insanity begin.  LOL

How about you love? Did you cave, as I did, and drink the iPad Kool-Aid?  Well, technically Mr. Husband purchased my new pretty, but that was AFTER I talked his ears off about how organized my life would be if I just had this new toy.  Heh!  I guess my method of persuasion really works.

 Enjoy your day beloved! I know I surely will.  xoxo

{Happiness is in the little things…}

Happy Tuesday my darlings! I hope you had a FANTASTIC day.  Forgive me for being completely lax in my blogging responsibilities. I need to find a good balance between my work and my passions. Getting to that point has been quite the challenge of late.  I need to keep reminding myself that all work and no play makes for a dull existence. Who wants that, right?  Thankfully I have wonderful friends who pull me from beneath the mound of paperwork on my desk and get me to smell the flowers…literally.  Ahhh! Happiness is in the little things in life.

These beautiful flowers were sent to me by one of my dearest friends today just because she wanted to bring a bit of joy into my stressful day.  Seeing these flowers on my desk brought an instant smile to my face. I’m truly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people.

May you, dear readers, be blessed with friends as equally as wonderful.

Do you feel it? Can you sense it? I smell Spring in the air and for that I am wonderfully thankful.  Hard to believe that we’re already in March. Spring makes me feel giddy, gleeful, and OVER-THE-TOP inspired. I grow my hopes and dreams in a Petri dish all Winter long and give birth to them in the Spring.

 Ahhhh! Glorious Spring.  It’s not too cold, not too hot, but juuuuust right! It’s a whispered hint of a passionate filled Summer to come.  Yes, Spring is definitely my favorite season.

What’s your favorite season?
