Wordless Wednesday…{a quick snapshot of my weekend}

What better way to take in the park…

My iPad, a bit of ‘Vino’ and people watching…what fun.

Life in action…

My day isn’t complete until I’ve had a Pretzel with mustard. Yum…

Look closely and you will see a guy jogging in his SUIT, with a beverage in hand.  God, there is nothing like my beloved NYC!! LOL

Whew! All that people watching created a bit of a thirst.  Starbucks anyone? 🙂

Gourmet chocolates…Dee-lish!!!!

Did I mention that I’m a bit of a foodie…

Ended my day with a glass of chilled vino and my ‘Pad…

Wishing for the beach…

I want to be here, alone with my thoughts, with a few good books and a couple of great mags.  I would send out cute post cards that would say, “Wish you were here” and write a few thank you notes that are way overdue.  I would unplug and disconnect. Lay low and resurface later.   I would play in the waves and dwindle the hours away.   Ahh! To be at the beach…

Relax & Release

Hallelujah!! Friday is finally here my darlings!!  After a long week of traveling and training managers, I am now ready to exhale and decompress.  Weekends, for me, mean two glorious days of sleeping in (if possible – I’m not always successful at that) and breakfast in bed.  What do you love most about your weekends?

Whatever you do, make the most of it and remember to take care of YOU!!  Until next week…

Summer Sabbatical

New York City Summer

I’m not sure at what point did I decide to mentally take a break from my musings and from posting this past summer but alas, playtime is now over and it is time to get back to the business at hand of over sharing. Heh!

I wish, my darlings that I could say that I was off this summer doing something magnificent like touring the South of France, backpacking through Europe or dancing down under with my Australian sweethearts but no, it wasn’t anything that spectacular. I just needed to decompress from the sheer magnitude of being me and being everything to everyone. This summer was filled with family visits, a plethora of dinner parties, countless events, exhausting business trips and a staycation that was no vacation at all. Trust me when I tell you that by the time Labor Day rolled around, I wanted to run screaming from the city, leaving everyone a Dear John letter, and sending a post card from the inner bosom of some obscure resort in Tahiti. But, being the responsible wench that I am, the guilt would have had me putting down my coconut drink and leaving my little paradise behind so that I can go home to make everyone’s life organized and tidy again.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the fam and friends but once in a while I think it’s a great idea to just get away for a hot second, regroup and hit the reset button on our minds and spirit. There is nothing like a little alone time to help put a fresh face on those things that we are thankful for.

So, dear hearts, here’s to a great autumn. Salud!
